Lindab is looking for a Regional Sustainability Specialist with high competence and passion for sustainable indoor climate and building products

 

Lindab is a leading ventilation company in Europe. Lindab develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes products and systems for energy-efficient ventilation and a healthy indoor climate. The products are characterized by high quality, ease of installation and environmental thinking.

 

About the position

Lindab contributes with products and services to provide better indoor climate, simplified construction, and more sustainable buildings. We are now looking for a Regional Sustainability Specialist to further strengthen our international engagement in standardisation, circular economy and regulations with sustainability top of mind.

 

In this position, you will have an important role in communicating, aligning knowledge, and setting the strategic direction for sustainability across product development, the Western Europe region and be aligned with the Sustainability team within the Lindab Group.

 

Your main responsibility will be to drive sustainable development in close cooperation with those responsible for sustainability locally in UK, Ireland, Belgium, and Denmark. You will contribute with your expert knowledge in projects across our organisation in Western Europe. Moreover, it is important that you can be the extra resource, who can help the organisation move in the right sustainable direction.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive direction-setting internally and externally within your area of expertise
  • Participate in and influence the sustainability assessment of Building and Ventilation products in the building context
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate knowledge and understanding of technical aspects related to sustainability
  • Understand and internalise knowledge on product requirements from European and national regulations as well as other market requirements in the field of sustainability, especially related to climate change, sustainable products and buildings, product carbon footprint and Eco-design measures
  • Support Lindab’s Sales Organisation regarding national enquiries and labelling schemes
  • Set up digital solutions and strong work processes to support the local teams in having the right documentation for sustainable products and solutions certificates (DGNB, EPD, LCA)

 

Your qualifications

For this position, you hold a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree. We expect you to have experience from a similar position, preferably from the building industry. In addition, you possess the following competencies:

  • Proven project management skills
  • Good technical skills
  • Experience with Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
  • Knowledge of how to design products for reuse or recycle, to minimise their impact during its life cycle
  • Experience with reporting and working with GHG
  • Experience with circular economy
  • Experience with DGNB classified buildings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • You can work with both strategic, tactical, and more operational, hands-on tasks
  • Stakeholder management

 

Place of work

The position is remote, but you are also welcome to work from one of our offices (UK, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, and Sweden). The position involves around 30 days of travelling annually in connection with local meetings in Lindab.
